Manaslu Circuit Trek

For wilderness trek many route have been designed. Manaslu circuit trekking route is one of them. Before 1991 AD this place was restricted. It is latest designed route. It is known to very few numbers of trekkers. Slowly it is gaining its popularity every day. Our main attraction is Mt. Manaslu. In world it is 8th number for height. To complete this trek we need of settle in many villages. All villages are very beautiful and situated at rural area. It is very favorable for trek. People over here have their own culture and tradition. Most of them follow Hinduism and Buddhism. It will be interesting to explore about them.

Our trek to Manasalu circuit route starts from Arughat. We get narrow and uneasy trial to walk. Starting days may become problem in walking. Walking daily it becomes habitual. Our every walk leads us to high altitude. To maintain our temperature we will accumulate in places according to trekking experts. We need to settle in many villages. We will be so much impressed with their kind and humble behavior. In this way we complete our trek. Our ending point will be Besisahar. From here we drive back to Kathmandu. This will end our trek.

Manasalu Circuit trek route is enchanting when we walk from low to high land. It will be long day walk. Day To Day Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu

Landing your flight at TIA, our representative will be there for your warm welcome. He/she are for your arrival.  You will be shifted to your place of accommodation. You can have full rest after a long flight. From the next day our routine will be according to our itinerary. Make full preparation for it.

Day 02: Kathmandu exploration and preparation for trek.

Today is your first day in Nepal. We will spend our day roaming all around Kathmandu valley. For you there will be guide who will pick you up in your hotel. We will start our day tour after breakfast. It is very easy. At first we will visit Pashupatinath. It is holiest temple of Lord Shiva. Our next destination is Boudhanath. It is known as little Tibet. Finishing this we will move on to Swyambhunath. It is also known as monkey temple. Lastly we will drive to Basantapur Durbar Square. Finishing all this we will return back to hotel and make further preparation.    

Day 03: Kathmandu to Aarughat

We will drive to Aarughat. During our drive it will be interesting to see roadside houses in corner of dense forest. Lunch program is managed in our way. After a drive of 5 to 6 hours we will be at Aarughat. In Arughat we can spend our leisure time exploring around area of beautiful valley.

Day 04: Aarughat to Soti Khola

First day walk of our trek leads us to Soti Khola. We follow the trial of Budi Gandaki River. Magic moments of trek seen in our trek can be cached during our walk. Our rest point will be Morder and Simre village. Walking continuously for about 4 to 5 hours we reach Soti Khola to spend our night.

Day 05: Soti Khola to Machha Khola

Early morning we start our trek to Machha Khola. At first it may be difficult for us to climb mountain ridge of Almara. Walking continuously for more days it will be habitual and simple. We pass through track of forest. We reach Riden Gaon. On Lambeshi, we rest for some moments and follow sandy river bed of Budhi Gandaki and reach Machha Khola.

Day 06: Machha Khola to Jagat (1340m) – 6 Hours

Continuing our trek our next destination is Jagat. We walk up to Tatopani. Here we can have bath on natural hot spring water. Being fresh we start our walk and reach Dovan. Resting few minutes we move ahead to Jagat. With this traditional & cultural Jagat village of bhote people is also very interesting.

Day 07: Jagat to Ngyak (2310m) – 6 Hours

Having a good night rest, we will make preparation to our next destination Ngyak. We will be walking on rocky trial. It is the entrance of Manaslu conservation area. It offers us dramatic view of Shringi Himal. Viewing its beauty we walk around 5 to 6 hours in humpty dumpty trial and lastly reach Ngyak.

Day 08: Ngyak to Ghap (2100m) – 6 Hours

Waking up early morning, we will be prepared for our next destination Ghap. Our today’s walk will be long. We walk through a newly built rock tunnel and forest upstream of Deng River. We need to face some difficulty in walking. Till our track ends to Ghap we can observe Mani stones & chortens of Tibetan culture.

Day 09: Ghap to Lho (3200m) – 6 Hours

Loh is our next destination of trek. Crossing wooden bridge over Budi Gandaki River we start trek. We need to walk on track of house interspersed over cultivated fields. Walking in forest of Pine & oak we can observe some wildlife playing. Like this we reach Lho to spend our night in tented camp.

Day 10: Lho to Samagompa (3500m) – 6 Hours

From Lho our next destination is Samagompa. We follow main track of road. Later on we leave road and change way to forest of rhododendron. The natural beauty of forest will make us so much happy. Beside this view of peak 29 is very impressive. Our walk passes through stone gate & long Mani stone wall.

Day 11: Samagompa to Stone Hut (4500m) – 5 Hours

Having breakfast, we resume our trek to Stone Hut. We start hiking to terraced hill. It is located on opposite bank of Budhi Gandaki River. This is very beautiful. We rest on Samdo village. It is most remote village. After few moments we continue our trek to Stone Hut for our cool night in a tented camp.

Day 12: Exploration day at Stone Hut

Today we take rest for whole day. From Stone Hut magnificent sights around village will impress us so much. We spend our whole day by exploring around Small stone hut valley. Living lifestyle of people in their own culture is very unique. It will be so much interesting to explore about them. We also accumulate our self in thin air.  

Day 13: Cross Larkya La pass (5215m) and trek to Bhimphedi (3590m) – 8 Hours

Resting for whole day we start our trek a bit early. We need to walk a long distance. We need to cross Larkya La Pass. It is very famous track of manaslu region. It will be very interesting to spend some in height of pass. There may arise some difficulty walking in storm trial. Walking on zigzag trial lastly we reach Bhimphedi.

Day 14: Bhimphedi to Tilje (3900m) – 5 Hours

Rounding up the Manasalu Circuit route, it’s time to return back. Our today’s destination is Tiliji. We just need to walk downward. Our walk goes only in paddy fields to Karcha La pass. We are walking main trial of forests of rhododendrons and Fig trees. In this way we reach Tilje. Here we set our camp our self for our night.

Day 15: Tilje to Tal (1725m) – 5 Hours

From Tilije, we resume our trek to Tal. We need to walk on downstream trail of Marshyangdi River. Resting few moments we ahead on a flat trail. We pass through scattered beautiful villages. Walking around 5 to 6 hours we will be able to reach Tal. Here we have short hike on Tal and we return back to our tent.

Day 16: Tal to Jagat (1300m) – 5 Hours

We don’t return back through different track. A bit first we walk on steep way. It is on rocky trial. Finishing this we get easy trial. It will be fully relaxed. We continue our walk on dense forest of blue pine & rhododendron and reach Jagat to spend our night. We will have full rest as we have just round up Manaslu Circuit.

Day 17: Jagat to Bahundanda (1275m) – 5 Hours

We have almost completed our all destination. We are returning back. It will be so much easy in walking. We just need to trek downward. We follow main trial to reach Bahundanda. This village is inhabitant of local people. Here we can see people of different culture. Lastly we reach Bahundanda to spend our night.

Day 18: Bahundanda to Besishahar – 5 Hours

In our returning journey it will be so much easy in walking. We just need to trek downward following the main trial to reach Besishahar. The route is amused us at every view point. We will be surprised with the view of beautiful glances of surrounding area. Lastly we reach Besishahar. We make preparation for our vehicle.

Day 19: Besishahar to Kathmandu – 7 Hours

Today we will return back to Kathmandu. We return back through the Prithivi highway. Greenery of highway will be so much impressive. Our lunch program is all managed in our way. Lastly we will be in Kathmandu. We will have plenty of times with us. Resting some time we can again walk and do local shopping.  

Day 20: Farewell

Keeping good memory of Nepal, it’s time to return back to our home land. We will organize a small farewell program for you. You will be given all instruction and management of your departure is all managed by our team. Hope you will again return back to Nepal for visiting next beautiful side.
